Precautions for the use of rotary tiller

Oct 16, 2021

(1) Field transfer. When the rotary cultivator transfers plots in the field, the tractor should be driven in low gear, and the coulter must leave the ground. When crossing the ridge and ditches, the rotary cultivator power must be placed in the separated position and the tail wheel should be raised to avoid collision with the tail wheel. Cause the inner tube to bend.

(2) Start the job. When the rotary tiller starts to work, the power should be engaged first, so that the coulter shaft rotates, and the coulter enters the soil slowly to avoid impact and damage the coulter.

(3) Homework. When the rotary tiller is working, the tractor speed should be selected according to the size of the plot, the nature of the soil, the operation requirements and the operator's operating proficiency. It is necessary to make full use of the power of the tractor without being overloaded for a long time. It is strictly forbidden to operate in high gear and reverse gear. When removing tangled grass on the coulter, stop and cut off the power. When turning the field, you should first reduce the throttle and raise the rotary tiller so that the tractor turns again after the coulter is unearthed.

(4) Normal maintenance. Pay attention to the working conditions of each part of the rotary cultivator, check whether the coulter and other parts are loose or deformed, and strengthen or correct it in time if necessary. In addition, land plots with lots of rocks, tree roots, and weeds are not suitable for operations with rotary tillers.
